(5/16 - 5/17) MassJCL State Convention
This year, 16 schools attended in the MassJCL State Convention! JCLers competed in Academic Testing, Certamen, Graphic Arts, Olympika, Chariot Races, Worm Races, Spirit and more! Three of our officers, Weian Xue, Lana Nguyen, and Brynn Bennett, were elected as 1st VP, Historian, and Publications editor respectively. Congratulations to all of them! (4/11) Harvard Certamen
This year, Harvard Certamen was hosted at Boston Latin School! We were very honored to play a role in hosting this tournament. Congratulations for the BLS A team for placing 2nd! (4/8) Classics Symposium
Introducing: the BLS Classics Symposium! Professor Michael Motia from UMass Boston graciously came to BLS to give a lecture about color in the ancient world! (4/1) Roman Dice Game

(2/7) BLS Certamen
BLS JCL presents: BLS JCL Certamen: Nox in Vivario! Starting at 9 AM, 24 teams from all over the state competed fiercely across 3 preliminary rounds. After a short and filling lunch break, the teams played in their respective finals rounds! Congratulations to Phillips Exeter in advanced, Weston in intermediate, and Weston again in novice! (1/24) Nobles and Weston Certamen

(1/14) Classical Arts Showcase 2

(12/17) Saturnalia

(11/5) Roman Chess
On November 5th, we ran a biweekly that introduced our members to the game of Latrones! After a quick slideshow presentation, members were supplied with clay and boards to create their own! (10/1) First General Meeting
On October 1st, BLS JCL hosted our first general meeting! Here, we introduced the 2025-2026 board and explained the JCL to students at Boston Latin School! (10/22) Lemuria
